Australia and world wide. I can obtain a quote to suit
your delivery needs as several options exist. These include:
sea, air, to the nearest depot or to your door.
Within
Australia
Within
Australia, I use either Australia Post registered mail or a
national furniture carrier depending on size. Quotes include
packaging, delivery to your door and insurance is recommended.
Insurance
Insurance
in transit is recommended as this covers all types of breakages
including the transfer costs back to us for repairs if necessary.
Insurance costs is inclusive of the quoted price.
For larger projexts, packaging is done by professional craters,
is padded and sealed into a complete timber container.
Overseas
delivery
Sea
v. Air - the price difference is approximately 1/2 cheaper by
sea than by air. Air takes approximately 2 weeks from departure
from Australia to a US destination (this can vary subject to
changing conditions). Sea can take 6 weeks to the US.
Depot v. Door - the overall price can be vary between $150-$300
(US) cheaper to the depot. The depot is usually located near
an international airport. To collect from a depot you need to
take a sturdy box trailer and 2 strong people to lift the package.
At the depot you sign papers and pay some of the total price
locally. Insurance ceases once you leave the depot.
Bedhead
quote example of delivery to Florida US:
~ Air delivery to the door $740 (US) which includes: transit,
insurance, packaging, export documents and local delivery.
~ Air to Miami depot $623 (US) which includes: transit,
insurance, packaging, export documents and local handling which
you pay on collection.
~ Sea to depot $450(US) which includes: transit, insurance,
packaging, export documents and local handling which you pay
on collection.
Payment
Balance - an additional small payment is occasionally required
for overseas deliveries once the package is finally weighed
and has departed due to varying conditions at any time. This
includes changes made by the receiving country, changing air
tariffs and weight. The balance is payable by the customer and
automatically debited.
Payment
I
require pre-payment in full of the quoted artwork price including
delivery costs prior to departure. This will include:
~ transit, insurance, packaging, export documents and
local delivery costs for delivery to door.
~ or transit, insurance, packaging and export documents
for delivery to depot as you will pay the fee for local handling
on collection.
